BENDURA BANK AG on the upswing with new strategy and excellent half-year results

BENDURA BANK AG, based in Gamprin-Bendern, generated a profit of around CHF 6 million in the first half of 2024. Following one of the best business results since the bank was founded last year, BENDURA BANK is continuing its successful course in the first half of 2024. Gross income was maintained compared to the same period of the previous year, while operating expenses rose by 5% to CHF 18.6 million in the same period. In addition, the bank recorded an exceptionally high inflow of new money and thus significantly increased assets under management (AuM).

One of the main reasons for this excellent result is that BENDURA BANK offers its clients flexible and customised solutions thanks to its professionalism and independence, despite the increasing complexity and growing challenges in the financial sector. In addition, the implementation of the bank’s new strategy is beginning to bear fruit. ‘In 2023, we launched a strategy process with the help of all employees to set the Bank’s long-term strategic course. At the beginning of this year, we started implementing it in order to lead our bank into an even more successful future together,’ says CEO Dr Markus Federspiel.

Growth in Asia and Liechtenstein

The already very successful Asian market was also expanded further. BENDURA BANK’s portfolio was expanded to include Hong Kong-based BENDURA Wealth Management (Hong Kong) Limited in order to be able to offer clients in Asia a broader range of local services.

However, the expansion of the brand in Asia by no means implicates a standstill at the headquarters in Liechtenstein. The new strategy has also defined target markets, which will have a positive impact on the growth of BENDURA BANK in Gamprin-Bendern in the coming years, both in terms of profit and the number of employees.

Employees are the greatest asset

According to CEO Dr Markus Federspiel, healthy growth only works with the right talents. ‘Our employees are our greatest asset. Anyone who works for BENDURA BANK makes a significant contribution to the success of one of the largest financial institutions in the country – it depends on everyone’.

As an attractive employer in the region with a dynamic working environment, the bank appeals to committed and performance-orientated employees. Short decision-making processes and flat hierarchies offer an exciting and attractive working environment. Furthermore, thanks to an attractive participation model, employees can participate directly in the company’s success and become co-owners of the bank. This makes the bank a unique organisation run by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs.
